Best Arabic food by weight in downtown Rio! There are a few Bar do Elias restaurants downtown, but this one near the municipal theater is the best. The only problem is that during peak hours it's difficult to find a place to sit. Arabic food is part of the regular menu, but there are also several other excellent options.
The price is a bit expensive, but if you're willing to pay, it's well worth it because the food is top-notch, and I've never eaten anything there that wasn't delicious and well-prepared. The buffet has several food options, including Arabic food and a barbecue buffet cooked over charcoal. I returned on April 25, 2024, and the food continues to be excellent; simply the best Arabic food I've ever eaten.
Best Arabic buffet restaurant in downtown Rio. Varied buffet with options for all tastes and that goes far beyond Arabic cuisine. Great option for vegetarians and vegans.

There are three buffets on this block. This one is the most expensive but by FAR the best food. Great Fish dishes, churrasca, fresh hummus and Tzatziki. I was missing all my mediterranean salads until I found this place. They also often have a good cevice. :)
